Are you a privacy enthusiast with a passion for data protection? We’re on the lookout for a Privacy Counsel & Data Protection Officer (DPO) to join Acast’s global legal team. As the guardian of our privacy compliance and data protection practices, you’ll partner closely with our innovative tech and product teams, ad sales, and ad tech operations, making a direct impact on the future of audio advertising.
This Stockholm-based role reports directly to our General Counsel.
What You’ll Do
As Privacy Counsel & DPO, you will:
• Own Privacy Compliance: Actively assess and address privacy risks across the Acast group, ensuring alignment with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA, and other regulations.
• Be Our Privacy Guide: Advise and educate internal teams on the evolving regulatory landscape, supporting privacy initiatives and helping us stay ahead of global privacy trends
• Drive Privacy in Innovation: Shape privacy in our tech products, assess privacy implications in ad tech, and conduct DPIAs and LIAs to align with Acast’s forward-looking business goals.
• Master the Paperwork: Draft and negotiate relevant data processing agreements (such as DPAs) and privacy clauses in our commercial contracts as well as update privacy policies, data processing records and other external or internal documents related to data protection.
• Oversee Incident Response: Serve as our DPO, overseeing data protection matters, managing incident responses, and ensuring clear communication with both internal teams and regulators.
Who You Are
With over 2 years of experience in European privacy and data protection law (GDPR) and a solid understanding of US privacy regulations, you bring a unique expertise to the table. You hold a Swedish LL.M. (jur. kand.) or an international equivalent, and familiarity with data processing in media and advertising is a strong advantage.

As a member of Acast’s Legal team you will be able to work in an independent and challenging role and will have an opportunity to develop yourself as a privacy and legal professional in the crossroads of privacy, tech, start up and global expansion. You will work closely with highly-skilled tech-, business- and legal colleagues throughout Acast’s international organisation and get an insight into a rapidly growing media.
