Terms and Conditions for Studio Rental at Acast Studios London

1. Definitions

1.1 “Acast”: Refers to Acast Stories Limited, including its employees, agents, and representatives.

1.2 “Podcaster”: Refers to the individual, group, or entity renting studio space and/or equipment at Acast Studios.

1.3 “Studio”: Refers to the podcast recording studios provided by Acast at Acast Studios London, 37 Bevenden Street, London N1 6BH, or such other venue, as may change from time to time.

1.4 “Agreement”: Refers to This Agreement, any accompanying booking forms, and related documents.

2. Bookings and Payment

2.1 All bookings are subject to availability and must be confirmed by Acast in writing.

2.2 Payment terms are as follows:

  • Full payment must be made at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The full amount owed will show upon checkout. 
  • Our booking platform, Skedda, will securely store your payment details in accordance with its Privacy Policy. If you cause any damage to the Studio or its equipment, we reserve the right to charge the cost of repairs or replacements to your registered payment method.
  • If your session exceeds the agreed booking time, you will be charged for the additional time at the same daily/half-daily/hourly rate as your original booking (as applicable).

2.3 Payment can be made via credit/debit card, and all fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

2.4 If payment is not received in accordance with these Terms, Acast reserves the right to cancel the booking without any liability.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

3.1 Podcasters may cancel their booking by providing written notice. Cancellations made more than 7 days before the Studio use date can be processed via the booking platform and will receive a full refund.

3.2 For cancellations within 7 days of the Studio use date, Podcasters must submit a cancellation request via email to acaststudioslondon@acast.com. Refunds will be issued as follows:

  • More than 7 days before the Studio use date – Full refund.
  • Between 3 and 7 days before the Studio use date – 50% refund.
  • Less than 3 days before the Studio use date – No refund.

3.3 All refunds will be processed manually and may take up to 28 days from the date of cancellation to be issued.

3.4 Acast reserves the right to cancel bookings due to operational reasons or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, Podcasters will receive a full refund, processed within 28 days.

4. Use of the Studio and Equipment

4.1 Podcasters are granted a non-exclusive, limited licence to use the Studio and equipment for the duration of their booking.

4.2 Acast will make reasonable endeavours to make available to you the use of the Studio. This includes:

  • Access to the Studio and studio equipment.
  • Reasonable access to the bathroom and kitchen facilities (provided that such access does not interfere with the day-to-day operations of Acast).
  • Any assistance as may be required on the day to ensure the functioning of the Studio and Acast equipment.

4.3 Podcasters must not:

  • Use the Studio for any unlawful or inappropriate activities.
  • Bring in external equipment without prior written consent from Acast.
  • Allow access to unapproved third parties.
  • Interfere with the day-to-day operations of Acast. 

4.4 Podcasters are responsible for ensuring their session does not exceed the booked time. Overruns will incur additional charges as per Clause 2.2.

5. Damage and Liability

5.1 Podcasters are liable for any damage caused to the Studio, equipment, or facilities during their booking. This includes repair or replacement costs as determined by Acast.

5.2 Acast accepts no liability for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage to Podcaster’s property.
  • Any consequential loss or indirect damages arising from the use of the Studio.
  • Any disruption caused by factors outside Acast’s control, including technical issues or third-party interference.

5.3 Acast’s total liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Podcaster for the booking.

6. Health and Safety

6.1 Podcasters must adhere to all health and safety regulations and instructions provided by Acast.

6.2 Acast reserves the right to terminate a booking immediately if health and safety rules are breached.

7. Recording and Intellectual Property

7.1 Podcasters retain full ownership of content recorded during their session.

7.2 Acast shall not be liable for any intellectual property infringement claims related to content recorded at the Studio.

8. Termination and Indemnity

8.1 Acast reserves the right to terminate the Agreement or refuse entry to the Studio without refund if the Podcaster breaches this Agreement.

8.2 The Podcaster agrees to indemnify Acast against all claims, damages, or expenses arising from their use of the Studio or breach of this Agreement.

9. Force Majeure

9.1 Acast is not liable for failure to perform any obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, power outages, or industrial disputes.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

10.1 This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

10.2 Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. General Provisions

11.1 This Agreement constitutes the entire Agreement between Acast and the Podcaster.

11.2 No variation of this Agreement shall be effective unless agreed in writing by both parties.

11.3 If any provision of this Agreement is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.


By making a booking, the Podcaster confirms their acceptance of this Agreement.
