2022.09.21

Acast-associated podcasts took home some of the biggest awards at the Irish Podcast Awards last weekend, including ‘Podcast Of The Year’ for The Witness - In His Own Words.

Sixteen of the awards on the night went to Acast podcasts, but the show belonged to The Witness, which eventually won four awards including ‘Moment Of The Year’ and ‘Best Documentary’, alongside the aforementioned ‘Podcast Of The Year’.

Elsewhere, it was Gold for The Mario Rosenstock Podcast in the Comedy category, Gold for The Tommy, Hector & Laurita Podcast  in the Entertainment and Spotlight podcast categories, and Gold for The Northern Bank Job (BBC)  in the True Crime Podcast category.

The Blindboy Podcast won two silver awards – for Arts & Culture and Entertainment – and was joined in silver by Petrified, which took home second place in the Fiction category, and The Northern Bank Job (BBC), which added a Silver for the Creativity award.

Some of the Bronze winners included The David McWilliams Podcast and our partners The Warren for Best Network.
